Say Nothing: a true story of murder and memory in Northern Ireland, Patrick Radden Keefe | Through the lens of the murder of a mother of 10 children by masked gunmen, the story of the IRA, it’s origins, the armed struggle and the period known as The Troubles, the hunger strikes, the peace process and the role of Sinn Fein is retold in a unflinching and investigative voice. Special emphasis on Brendan Hughes, Dolors Price, Gerry Adams, on the aftermath of the abduction of Jean McConville on her family and on the role of memory on society at large. Fascinating legal quid pro quo took place in the form of the Boston tapes: for the sake of documenting what had really happened the confessions from various IRA members was recorded in exchange for the guarantee that the existence of the tapes would not be revealed until the last one died. However because of a series of unfortunate events, the government subpoenaed Boston University for the tapes, exposing the identity of all involved! |

|
Par le sang versé, Paul Bonnecarrére | Good war time stories about the tragic yet comical tribulations of legionaries during the Indochina war.
